Katie Terrell grew up in New Vienna, Ohio. After graduating from East Clinton High School and Baldwin Wallace University (Berea, Ohio), life and Christian ministry have led her down many paths, from book and magazine editing for a non-profit in Richmond, Indiana, to serving as a missionary at an orphanage in San Felipe, Mexico. She began serving as a volunteer Hope House hostess in 2018. In June 2021 she moved into the role of House Manager, overseeing the daily needs -- groceries, housekeeping, donations, volunteer scheduling -- of the shelter. She was named Executive Director of Hope House in January 2022. Since its founding in 2014, Hope House has been blessed by the leadership of directors Tammy Beery, Tracy Scalf, and Sarah Martin.
